One of the main reasons this whole little venture started grew out of my volunteer gig as the sideline photographer for the local youth football league. The past few years, I was asked to take action shots for the organization for use on their website. Last year, I was approached by parents wanting to purchase the pictures I was taking, so we worked that out through the organization. I’ve never made any money off of this, but it’s been a great experience and I’ve seen my sports photography skills grow by leaps and bounds.
Last year a parent approached me about the possibility of a private family session. That never went anywhere, but several parents have approached me this year. I’ve had some ideas for family sessions brewing in my head, so I thought it was probably time to see how this all might work out for me. I hope to have some of those scheduled in the near future.
However, a group of friends did ask me if I’d do a football-inspired session with their boys.
