Yesterday was quite the roller coaster.  The weather forecast changed about 27 times in the span of 48 hours (okay, maybe not really, but it was unpredictable nonetheless).  With optimism in our hearts and many ideas in mind, the family agreed to press ahead.

To start, the eldest daughter was scheduled for her senior portraits.  We seemed to be running from the rain, as every time we stopped and got her set up, the drops would arrive.  With just a picture or two at each location, we’d pack it all up and hit the road to head east ahead of the dark cloud that seemed to be following me everywhere!

In between the rain and chaos, we did manage to capture a bit of magic.  Not surprising, with this gorgeous girl!

As we met up with the rest of the family, lovingly self-dubbed “The Brady Bunch” as each parent has three children, I was about ready to pack it in and sadly reschedule when we saw the clouds break to our west. As luck would have it, the location we were headed was in that direction, so we hopped in our cars and set off in search of some family fun.

This group did not disappoint! There were laughs and smiles and jokes and teasing. While it didn’t go smoothly, thanks to Mother Nature, it was fun and I think we got the shots we were after. Here are two sneak peeks…the rest are under wraps until after I can view the proofs with the family.
