Newborn Photographer Baker | Ava Six Days New

Goodness, Miss Ava was a sweetheart during her newborn session. I kinda wanted to keep her.  I didn’t know it at the time, but her daddy was set to deploy just days after her session – he was actually gone before their gallery reveal/ordering appointment.  You may have seen the post I did at the time sharing her gallery so that he could see it (yes, I am still a bit behind in blogging).   I know it must be near impossible to be gone at this special time, so let me again say “thank you”, Greg, for your service.

After she arrived with her parents and I got started, they took a few minutes to snuggle on the couch together and I could hear them whispering to each other.  I cannot tell you how much that warms my heart.  Not only that they trusted me with their sweet angel, but that they took advantage of the session to spend some quiet time together.  I see parents come in sleep deprived, exhausted, and sometimes not on the best of terms with each other thanks to a week of adjusting to life with a newborn.  You parents know what I mean!  It makes me so happy to give them a few minutes peace where they can regroup…maybe even nap (yes, new parents are welcome to do that here!).

I have to give a big shout out to Addie’s sweet momma for referring Ava’s parents to me.  She rocks the referrals and I am so thankful!
