Crestview Baby Photographer | Mia at Eight Months

Miss Mia just steals my heart! I am so envious of her curls, and she has the sweetest smile. She really lights up for her momma and daddy. So precious.

I’m already acquiring props and decor for her twelve month session, which has my heart feeling a bit blue that we’re already thinking about her graduating the baby plan. It seems like just last week I met her for her newborn session, and it was only yesterday she was her for her four month milestone.  If I’m wishing time could stop for a moment, I can only imagine how quickly this year has flown by for her parents.

Gosh, this session required a bit of technical MacGuyvering.  I somehow lost the gadget that triggers my flash and only realized it the night before.  I had taken it to an outdoor shoot, so I imagine it’s since been chewed up by a tractor.  Studio lighting is certainly a bonus in that it allows me to shoot at all times of the day, regardless of weather conditions…but it does require a fair bit of equipment.  Fortunately, I have several lights and was able to make it all work.  I promptly ordered a replacement trigger and two back-ups.  How I managed to avoid having a back-up all this time is beyond me!  I now have three lights, three triggers, and three receivers…just to be safe.  Okay, so maybe that’s a bit of overkill, but I’ll be grateful should any of them ever fail to work properly (or should I ever leave a piece behind somewhere).  Of course, I hope to never need to worry about that again!
