Seriously, what a crazy-photogenic pair!!!  These two boys were ideal models, taking direction very well and adding their own ideas to the mix.

I had such a great time with this family – even with our train tracks adventure due to track repair that left us scrambling to get our shots before the sun went down!  It all worked out for the best, though, as both Mom and I agree that having the train on the tracks only adds to the images…even if it’s not exactly what we’d planned.  In fact, we had a grassy field picked out, and then unexpectedly passed by an even better one in an even more convenient location!  I’d like to think the only complaint anyone could offer is that it was really kinda chilly, but the boys toughed it out like cheerful champs and we had some fun jumping and dancing around to stay warm.

After the session, I spent days trying to pare down the proof selection to a manageable number!  Typically, my initial sorting process is sufficient, but even after walking away several times and coming back with fresh eyes, I still had quite an overwhelming set of proofs to review with Mom.  Her discerning eye made quick work of some of that pile, but it was a tough selection process nonetheless.

All of these locations were within minutes of town.  I know I’ll mourn the day the field is mowed down, but I’m pretty confident another one will then be waiting to be discovered.
