I first met Greyson’s beautiful momma at my Crestview studio to discuss his newborn session close to two months before his due date.  At that time, we didn’t know if that sweet baby she was carrying was a boy or a girl, so we discussed options for both (and if it was a girl, my favorite lace pants would have been a must…by request!).  Mr. Greyson made his arrival a little over three weeks early…both momma and baby were healthy…and I received a picture of him the next day as we worked to scheduled his session.

What was I just saying about loving babies with hair?  Greyson was an itty bitty, at less than six pounds.  We zoomed through his individual shots in less than 90 minutes, and then things got a little fussy.  However, I won once again, thanks in large part to his momma’s persistence.  It was well worth it to wrap up with some gorgeous parent shots.  When my galleries are just baby-only, I always feel like something is missing.  Greyson’s gallery was definitely complete and such a joy to present to his parents at their viewing appointment.

When Emma’s mom first contacted me, we had hoped she would be able to model some newborn session accessories in early December at my Crestview studio. Unfortunately, Emma had other plans and did not make her grand entrance until two weeks later. I was thrilled to hear back from her sweet momma when she wanted to book a full newborn session with me!

I love me some babies with hair! She is such a perfect little nugget…even if she didn’t exactly want to sleep. But, I am one determined lady and won out in the end. Well, maybe Miss Emma got the last laugh by leaving quite the large present on one of my more delicate accessories! That’s okay, it comes with the territory and some patient hand-washing left hardly a trace of any such present. These sessions are such a labor of love. I am usually sore the next day, with mounds of laundry to do, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. It is such a gift to be a small part of these itty bitties’ first days.

Emma’s dad is proudly serving in our Armed Forces, so we definitely had to bring a bit of that in to her session.  Thank you, to all of our active and retired military, for your service.
