June and Camden came to see me for their newborn portraits after a short stay in the NICU. Their parents were filled with pure joy upon finding out they were pregnant, and to be carrying twins was an unbelievable blessing. They arrived a bit earlier than expected, but after a long journey to bring them in to the world ending with a hospital bed-rest stay, their momma couldn’t help but think “they’re really here and so perfect!” upon seeing them quickly in the delivery room before they were wisked away to the care of the amazing NICU staff at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Pensacola.

As luck would have it, my sweet friend from Amanda Diefenbach Photography was in town visiting the weekend following the twins’ NICU release and we were able to team up for the third time in about six months for a session with multiples (you might remember these adorable triplets from back in the fall). I think we make a pretty great team, too bad she lives all the way in New York State! Even better for me, Amanda was the one to catch all the messy stuff in between shots…yep, being a newborn photographer can be a very messy business. June and Camden’s momma was entertained by it all, and as long as she thought it was funny then it was all worth it.

Big brother Storm loves his itty bitties.  He was so incredibly patient during the session and was happy to curl up nearby while we worked.  At home, he loves to be where they are, give them kisses, and check on them if one is crying.  As a dog-mom, it just makes my heart smile to see Storm welcome his tiny humans in to the world.

June and Camden’s momma worried a bit that they might not sleep well for us, but they really rocked out their session. We made sure to have them fed right before the session and they slept like champs! Their sweet momma said it was fun to watch us work and her advice to other parents during a newborn session is to relax and enjoy the moment. I agree wholeheartedly….
