Niceville Newborn Photography | Cooper at Thirteen Days New

You may remember Cooper’s gorgeous parents from their beautiful beach maternity session earlier this year. After our time together on the beach, they decided to also book their newborn session with me. We thought it would be six or seven weeks before the baby made his or her grand entrance, but Cooper surprised everyone by arriving three weeks early! Mom and Dad were thrilled to greet their boy, whose gender was a surprise up until the moment they met.

As a dog-mom, it’s always special to me when we include furry siblings during the family portion of the newborn session. Roxy is the cutest big sister, and I suspect she and Cooper will have many amazing adventures in the years to come. Cooper’s parents worried both Roxy and Cooper wouldn’t cooperate, but Roxy was a gem. Apparently, Cooper didn’t receive the memo that Miss Neda always wins, but we pushed through a little bit of fussiness to complete his session. I know parents think I have incredible patience, but, honestly, it’s pure determination and genuine love for what I do…..

Freeport Baby Photographer | Eliza at Four Months

I first met Miss Eliza when her momma contacted me for her newborn session in November thanks to a referral from a local colleague. Eliza, her sister, and her momma are three beautiful ladies. I was so lucky to work with them. I was beyond thrilled to document her first year when Eliza’s momma contacted me about enrolling in the Itty Bitty Baby Plan.

Usually, the four month session is mostly tummy-time to capture all the hard work that has gone in to the baby developing the ability to hold her head up. Eliza wanted nothing to do with being on her tummy! As soon as we would set her down, she would roll on to her back. Every session is baby-dependent, so we met her in her comfort zone and went with that! That’s okay, this little ginger with those big eyes can do whatever she wants as far as I’m concerned.

Destin Baby Photographer | Everly at Six Months

You all know those newborn itty bitties have a special place my heart, but I cannot tell you how much I also love watching babies grow during their first year. A baby’s sitter milestone session is so much fun with all of their sweet expressions and their giggles. I am so happy I had the chance to be sweet Everly’s baby photographer for her six month session.

Seriously, how cute is this baby girl?!?! Those perfect little cheeks! So stinkin’ adorable. Six months is a great age because babies are often really stable when sitting up, but not yet crawling so we don’t have to chase them down too much (hahaha). It sometimes takes a village to coax those smiles – I am often a stranger and the big camera I hold in front of my face can be a bit intimidating for the littles, it’s completely normal – but I am not above making a fool of myself to get the job done.

People often ask how I schedule newborn photography sessions when arrivals are rather unpredictable. Miss Olivia was originally due in early March, but arrived a few weeks early. With this in mind, I intentionally limit how many newborns I book each month in order to ensure as much flexibility as possible to get these itty bitties in the studio whenever they make their grand entrances.

Her mom kept me updated during the last two months of her pregnancy so we could plan accordingly. I was thrilled when I got the message she arrived on Valentine’s Day!

As the proud parents of two fur babies, Olivia’s mom and dad were over-the-moon when they found out they were expecting. I am so happy I was able to to document this special time in their family’s story for them. It was such a joy to have them in the studio.

Olivia’s mom enjoyed being able to observe me work. (I suspect some folks take away a few of my sleepy tricks for those fussy nights at home!) But, Olivia was really a great sleeper and her session went so very well.

Seriously, how precious is she?!?!?!

Niceville Maternity Photography | A Destin Beach Session

Oh, Sam & Ken…what can I say? They were completely at ease in front of the camera and it was such a joy to capture. Beach sessions can be tricky with people, wind, sand, and a million other variables. We lucked out with a gorgeous evening with just a gentle breeze and had the beach mostly to ourselves.

Goodness, Sam is stunning – you would never guess she was 33 weeks along at the session. What a perfect little baby bump!
