Newborn Photographer Destin | Natalie at Twelve Days New

Twinkle, twinkle, little star; do you know how loved you are? I rarely use this little moon prop, but when I do I am reminded of how much I love it. Any pink-carnation-crescent-loving ladies out there? If so, you’ll understand why it holds a particularly special place in my little heart.

I do not offer wedding services – well, except for that one time for some very special folks – but I used to second shoot regularly for Jan Ethridge Photography before she moved out west and I had the honor of being at Natalie’s parents nuptials. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple. Their wedding was even featured in the 2015 Northwest Florida Weddings magazine (see pages 22-23). When Natalie’s momma contacted me about newborn portraits, I was over the moon (see what I did there…?).

Such a treat to see this family grow. I am blessed to have been a part of two very special moments in this family’s story. Pinch me……

Newborn Photographer Navarre | Ari at Thirteen Days New

I was so bummed when Ari’s momma first contacted me for a pregnancy reveal session because the timing worked out such that I was out of town when she needed to schedule. I cannot tell you how happy I was to hear from her a few months later to get their due date reserved on my calendar for this sweet bundle of joy.

Ari’s parents are such a wonderful couple and it was such a joy to finally get to meet them. They were clearly smitten with their new son. I love this job more than I can adequately express. Just look at them. I get to be a part of the most amazing time in a family’s story.

Ari’s parents proudly serve in United States Air Force. When his momma said she wanted to include their service within the session, I knew I had the perfect outfit for this adorable little Airman. It is such an honor to live so close to multiple military installations and have the opportunity to work with so many of our service men and women. Goodness, that sweet face…!

Destin Maternity Photographer | Margaret’s Beach Session

Margaret contacted me for maternity portraits shortly after seeing Sam’s maternity session. Expecting her third son, she’d previously done studio maternity portraits and was interested in stepping out on the gorgeous Destin beaches this time around. The Emerald Coast did not disappoint. Driving to our location, I noticed some wispy clouds building and I knew the colors would be soft and lovely. We started just minutes before sunset.

As we were about to wrap up, well after the sun set, I looked back to see Margaret silhouetted by the darkening sky and just had to get “one more”. I’m pretty awful with the “just one more” requests. But, honestly, the last shot of the night is almost always my favorite. There is something about the last light of day heading in to twilight on the open beach.

Baby Photographer Niceville | Eloise’s Cake Smash

What could be a better way to start a day than with some buttercream? Did someone say cake? Goodness, I love the milestone session that accompanies baby’s first birthday! Especially when it includes a cake smash, because the cake is one of the sweetest perks of being a baby photographer!

Eloise came in with the cutest first birthday outfit and we started with some shots in that using one of my favorite little benches for twelve month olds. Pink and gold is always a popular choice for my girls, and it’s easy to see why when it looks this pretty. However, the baby is the star of this show!

Then, a quick outfit change for a little variety. More pink? Why yes!!!!! She is such a cutie!

And then there was cake……

Crestview Newborn Photographer | Brayden at Eleven Days New

I first met Brayden’s sweet momma when she hosted a baby shower for a sweet friend. She was almost 36 weeks at that time and decided she wanted to book both maternity and newborn portraits with me. I was so happy to have a quick opening for her maternity session just a few days later. These expectant mommas are so incredibly gorgeous to me, what an amazing experience to capture.

Fast forward a few weeks and handsome Mr. Brayden made his much-anticipated grand entrance several days late and just before his daddy had to head back overseas. We tried to get them in really early for his newborn session in order to include his daddy, but it was a rough week learning how to be a baby and we had to delay until after daddy left. I was so sad about that.

Momma brought along a blanket made especially for Brayden, and I think this baby-yawn capture is just the cutest. Oh, his rolls. I am a sucker for baby squish.
