The Lowmiller Family | An Adoption Session {family photographer Niceville}

I’ve had the same conversation several times in the past few weeks.  There are a few things in my heart that I feel compelled to share.

As photographers, we are called up on to document moments in a family’s history that they will revisit time and time again in the lifetime ahead.  It’s a gift, these moments we give back to them through our images.  It’s a privilege to serve as historian for this chapter of their story.  I am humbled every single time I am chosen by a family to serve them in this way.

Adoption.  Talk about a gift!  I recall the first time I was introduced to the word.  In kindergarten I had spent the day at my best friend’s house.  She had a princess bedroom and a pony!   (more…)

Baby Aubrey | Six Days New {Fort Walton newborn baby photographer Crestview}

When the owner of Brava Hair Studio in Fort Walton Beach told me that her daughter was pregnant, you know my shutter finger got a bit twitchy.  I’ve been going to Lisa for years now (if you are looking for an amazingly talented stylist, I highly recommend her!) and was certainly hoping they’d consider me for newborn portraits.  As the pregnancy progressed, I was thrilled when they said they wanted me to do them!  Baby Aubrey arrived almost right on schedule and was a healthy 7lbs, 10oz!  Not only was she deliciously plump, she is quite possibly the pinkest baby I’ve ever seen!  She slept like a dream and we had so much fun in a very short period of time.  Couldn’t have asked for a better session.

Looking forward to all the babies coming up in the next month – sure hope you love seeing them as much as I love sharing them!

Sneaky Peeky | Baby Cameron {Pensacola Crestview FL newborn baby photographer}

Sneaky Peeky | And Baby Makes Four {Maternity Photographer Navarre Crestview FL}

I am honored each and every time an expectant momma contacts me to book newborn photos. When this expectant momma contacted me prior to the family’s relocation back to the Emerald Coast, I was also crazy flattered. She’s an uber-cool artist, and just about the nicest person you can imagine. We met up late last week for a family materinity session. Once again, my bag-o-gummies saved the day with their adorable little girl. Maybe I should change my business name to “Gummy Bear Photography”. Whatcha think??? (more…)
