Gabby & Ben…I’ve said it before, and I’m sure I’ll say it again…I could photograph these two for days. Not only are they an obviously good-looking couple, they are naturals in front of the camera. Their interactions are genuine and the smiles and emotion are real. And they can be absolute goofballs, which makes my job so much fun.

Now, I don’t offer wedding services. I’m pretty clear about that and I regularly refer inquiries to several of my very talented colleagues who do specialize in capturing nuptials. But, late last year Gabby mentioned she would like for me to do their wedding. I admit, I thought she’d find someone else by the time they got around to the serious planning and I even provided her with referrals, so I was a bit surprised when she came back to me this summer saying she still wanted me to work their wedding. In the end, how could I say no? To have captured them as expectant parents and with their new baby, and to have been a part of their son’s first year, I think a little part of me would have been quite sad if I’d missed out on this big event.

About a month before the wedding we met for their engagement pictures on their family property. Gabby takes “country-chic” to a gorgeous new level. Wait until I catch up on posts and get to their wedding.  Not only is she beautiful and stylish, she is incredibly crafty.

I still don’t offer weddings. This was just too special of a request for me to turn down. I adore this little family and it has been such a joy to be part of their story the past two years.
