What a joy it has been to photograph Miss Mia’s first year, from the maternity session with her sweet parents to her newborn session, at four months, at eight months, and now for her first birthday. I get so attached to these itty bitties and their parents.
Is it okay to admit I am totally jealous of her amazing curls?
Her adorable smile just slays me. Such a happy baby full of love. To watch her grow has been a gift.
It turns out, Mia was cutting a tooth on her birthday, and she didn’t seem to love her cake as much as we’d all hoped. In the end, a cell phone covered in frosting made her happy. Babies are beautifully unpredictable! I can’t help but chuckle at how things rarely go according to plan and the lengths to which parents and I will go to in our attempts to make babies smile or coax them in to eating their cakes.
