Baby Photographer Crestview | Baby Drake Is Six Months Old

Watching babies grow from their newborn session through their first birthday, and beyond, is such a joy!

You may remember baby Drake from his newborn session last summer. Seriously gorgeous family!  Well, he came back recently for his six month pictures and it’s amazing how much he’s grown (don’t they all grow too fast?!?!?).

We incorporated the sock monkey nursery theme once again – don’t you just love that handmade throw?  Carrying a few pieces throughout the first year is something I love to do because at the end of the first year we end up with some wonderful images that really show how much the baby has changed.

Drake’s momma also brought this gorgeous rocking duck that a family member made. As a duck-hunting family, it was such a special piece to incorporate, not to mention the precious outfit that his daddy wore when he was just a baby. Handmade + vintage = perfection.

When his momma asked for a few pictures of them together, of course I was excited. Gabby is not only beautiful, she is also such a natural in front of the camera. With each moment I spend with baby Drake and his family I can’t help but feel increasingly grateful to call them clients.  Here is one of my favorite shots…a quiet moment between mother and son, with Drake’s signature self-soothing pose.  These moments are so very fleeting, it won’t be long before we’re saying “remember when…” and to capture these precious memories is such an honor.
